Hello and Welcome!

What Is Lymphedema?

Lymphedema is a buildup of lymphatic fluid that causes swelling, most commonly in an arm or leg. It can also affect other areas of the body. It may develop after damage to lymphatic vessels or removal of lymph nodes, or result from an inherited condition affecting the lymphatic system.

What Is Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)?

Complete decongestive therapy combines approaches such as bandaging, compression garments, manual lymphatic drainage, exercise, and self-care education. Your therapist will assess your needs and develop an individualized plan to help manage swelling and support function.
